Just saw on social media that the 06G Westside Copa team won the U-19 State Championship? They weren’t even in the U-19 final. Columbia Premiers B team beat United’s A team(embarrassing, for United)But how is that possible? Did they claim a title because they were considered all 06s so by default were the U-18 winner?

This year OYSA dropped the U18 age group for state cup; 06G Copa Red advanced further than any other U18 team in State Cup (on the girls side).
Do USYS regionals have a U18 bracket this year, or did that get eliminated as well? If yes, then 06G Copa Red has a legit claim to represent Oregon at that age group.
If not, than this is just a symbolic boast.Comment
