I cringe to throw this question out here for the club flaming to start...but just wondering if either OPFC or WSM will try to promote to the full ECNL from ECRL for the 24-25 season? WSM is really strong for the 08-09 boys, while OPFC seems strong across a number of age groups so maybe they could try and pull it off?

Only if ECNL creates an OR / ID division and moves United PDX (and maybe Columbia Premier) out of the current NW setup.
Seattle teams don't want PDX teams in their ECNL division.

Having an OR/ID division and a WA division of ECNL would make sense, as part of a larger NW conference. Most matches are with division rivals, with one trip to Puget Sound per season, and Washington teams getting having one trip across a state border. The different HS season in WA means that Columbia Premier can't be in the same league as the Oregon clubs, or likewise for Spokane/Coeur d'Alene.
The WA teams would probably like not having to come to Oregon, though they still have to come to Vantucky.
UPDX won't be happy about being tossed back into the Thunderdome mix, as it would cost them their chief selling point.
But move UPDX to the OR/ID league and add one more club--Eastside would probably be a good choice based on history, size, and geography, assuming they can get their shiz together--and you've got 8 in both divisions.
Keep in mind... once you exclude Crossfire, the rest of the Puget Sound clubs aren't that much better than Oregon clubs.
