    Graham Abel UO

    https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/202...aeme-abel.html

    - doesn’t win any games

    - verbally abusive

    - claims to be elite

    - has Oregon kids on the team.

Remember if you train kids to be treated like this for the sake of being elite you can have the same story as these kids.

I bet glad they are glad they sold their soul during youth soccer to get what they are getting.

With great power comes great responsibility. The advice Uncle Ben gave Peter Parker in Spiderman. Similar to the medieval principle of noblesse oblige—is that power cannot simply be enjoyed for its privileges alone but necessarily makes its holders morally responsible both for what they choose to do with it and for what they fail to do with it.

With articles like The Oregonian’s, the truth is often somewhere in between. But if even half of the stories in this article are true, Abel lost his way.

I can tell you this. The zero wins wasn't the players fault. GW for the next U of O coach.

It’s amazing how many coaches get away with abusive behavior and are often referred to as “old-school”, when in fact they are just narcissistic *****s that like to yell at people. The best coaches inspire and motivate through empathy and support. There has to be discipline, but discipline is not anger and rage, but rather holding firm to the rules set forth by the team.

If U of O doesn’t dump this bag of crap after losing every game and most of his players, then they obviously don’t care about the women’s soccer program or it’s athletes.

It’s interesting how these coaches who get fired for abuse in NCAA W Soccer are never anywhere near the best. These coaches are always running average/below average/dog-s***t programs. They hide their bad coaching with power dynamics instead of being good at their job. Everyone gets found out eventually.

Go back in UO history. They fire women’s coaches consistently with faaaar better records. And Graeme has had a so so year where he inherited talent and the talent he has developed his second and third season’s with significantly losing records. How come female coa hes are fired for better records at this school??

Something fishy at UO or it’s just gender favoritism.

Bold move by UofO. They better hope he stays on the straight and narrow because the public has been told about possible abusive behavior toward female athletes. If he does something stupid this will cost Oregon a pretty penny in court. It may already, but it will for sure if he screws up this year. And chances are good he will. They will be terrible again this year after losing the majority of the team.
