BCSC's idea for an all-girls academy is a good one. Their decision to join the GA because they had political connections was a mistake. Their players were not ready for that level of play and their record in the GA proves it. This error could have been avoided if the club owners thought about the players first. BCSC is a good club for players who enjoy soccer but also want to pursue other sports or arts. Players who are focused on getting to their next level or looking to play college should look at other clubs. Kicked out or dropping from the GA, not being able to participate in the DPL cause they can't fill rosters, and a lot of players leaving the club puts them in a hole to climb out of if they want to be a respected club. Will they survive?

As it turned out, ripping one very good girls club in half has produced one mediocre girls club, that would fall apart completely if not for its legacy ECNL affiliation, and one terrible one. At this point, Westside might well be the strongest girls' club in Beaverton, and that's saying something.
