This just makes me laugh. Vancouver teams don't want to got to Seattle to play during league so OPL lets them play in the Oregon Premier League. Then the Vancouver teams think they should be able to play in the OPL State Cup, not the OPL league Cup the OPL STATE CUP (says it right on the OPL website). Just sounds like a bunch of crying to me.

What happens if a VT team wins the NPL division. Will they go to Colorado as the Oregon representative?

The winner of the OPL Cup moves on for the US Club National Championship... But the winner of the NPL league moves on to the National Premier League championship.

Any team that wins their Premier League division will get the invite to attend the National Premier League as the representative from the Oregon Premier League, but this is completely different than having a State Champion. I know for a fact that other border towns play in a league that resides in a different state but they are not allowed in the State tournament.

Exactly! I don't know why it's so difficult for Vancouver to understand! Yes you can play in the OPL league and completely dominate everyone like you say, but State Cup is State Cup.

I read that OYSA and WYSA reached an agreement that if a Wash team plays in the OYSA league it will qualify them to play in their own State Cup tourney.

Does playing in the OPL league qualify those Wash teams to play in the US Club version of the State Cup ? If not, their screwed other then playing in the "regional".

PML is jointly operated by OYSA and WYS so it qualifies teams for either state's US Youth state cup. Anybody can play in the US Club WA Cup. No qualification necessary as the level of play is so low that they'll take anybody just to fill the fields.

Wow, must feel good to "own" people? What is this pre-civil war? I thought this was about the kids. I don't even know why we play soccer, so many of you are so crazy! It is not a good place for kids. I am glad the truth comes out on so many of these "discussions". Then we know what kind of people our kids are exposed to. Do you know how many good players just quit because of all of this dysfunction? When will the grown ups grow up and work together for the kids? We just try to find a good team with a good coach for our kids to play with, there are more important things in life to worry about like respect.

The same reason why the OPL DOC's don't want Vancouver in the OPL CUP (NOT OPL OREGON STATE CUP)


GU-12 Timbers Reds are a top team in OPL NWCL Finalists and own the only rival they have which is FCSC.
GU-12 FCSC Competes and wins against WA teams and are easily 1 & 2 in the OPL

GU-13 Timbers Reds completely dominates the OPL and noone can argue that. NWCL Winners and 1st in WA.
GU-13 Valencia Beat all the OR teams this summer and once they merge with Timbers, it just adds more insult to injury for the OR teams.
GU-13 FCSC Former Valencia team, was peace mealed together with B team and Rec players and somehow made 4th in the OPL premier division. Shown by how weak the OR side truly is.

GU-14 is a symptom of not consolidating for the Vancouver side along with consolidation for the OR side. Vancouver has FCSC which is stronger if not top 3 in OPL while TImbers and WSA who will merge will finally bring a team to compete but can't even hold a candle to the OR consolidation of ONyx

GU-15 through GU-17. Have owned the OPL and if you don't believe me, just look them up. Not as dominate from the GU-17 as the 15's and the 16's but still a major player.

Please pay attention. 1st off, I was not bitching at all. I said that our A team prefers playing Wa State cup which is true. I also said that adding VT to OPL state cup makes OPL better, which is also true. Then you proceed to make a random point about others being trashy while acting trashy yourself.
