One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?
Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely...right!

Idiotic response, not sure how you find yourself amusing
Scores and wins don't lie. It is another knock at little Eugene. The Portland teams who can pool and recruit from a larger population are bitter that even with all of their advantages have take a seat while Athletica competes.

You are a frick'n idiot.
I don't think anybody in the 99G group in the Portland and SW Washington area has ever said any thing negative about Athletica. The team has always been one of the top teams in the age group from the time they were U11.
Eugene's population is 159,000.
Portland's population is 590,000.
How many clubs are in the Portland area? How many clubs are there in Eugene? How much pooling and recruiting have you seen taking place with the U13 group? The teams have been pretty much the same since U10.
The main difference is that if a player leaves one of the top Portland clubs, they can find a adequate replacement from either the 2nd team or possibly another club. It may be harder for Athletica to find a replacement due.
The advantages that you speak of happens as the girls get older. I have not seen it at the sub high school group with any teams other then Onyx. That is because Onyx plays on a different level.
The population of the Portland metro area, which Portland clubs can pool from, is in excess of 2.2 million. That is a large difference.
So what? There are also in excess of at least 10 clubs in the Portland Metro area. Please lets not start the Eugene version of the lil ol Vancouver vs. big bad Portland thread. Those threads (basically any U 13 G thread) are fraught with negativity and pretty moronic. As a previous poster stated, no one has ever (as far as I can see) posted anything negative about Eugene. They have a very good team. We all look forward to playing them. I hope they do well in Colorado. Lets just move on.

Eugene parent here. Thank you and I agree completely.
