So Adidas will sponsor and rush will wear off-brand uniforms? Something doesn't add up.

The only 'merger' isn't a merger, but a franchising of Crossfire with FC Portland and possibly THUSC. Instead of bringing in Cal South, it is better to keep it in the NW. Crossfire will become a regional superclub with ECNL and Developmental Academy programs for Oregon kids to play with (as Developmental or Discovery Players). A few FC Portland staff will join and spearhead the program. Nike is looking to make it Crossfire the premier club in the NW.

OH! That does help explain some recent observations...

cant do it yourself, join someone who has. ride the coat tail for all it's worth. then when you fail at success (like FC did before with the DA).....then you merge with another local club.
