I do volunteer for other items, you have no idea. And because another sport does it one way doesn't make it right. This is just an indicator why soccer is the way it is, we are satisfied. A week before is rediculous. Do you think RCL or CalSouth does it this way? If not, why?

And to the other poster, I understand teams are weak but that shouldn't affect anything. And 100 teams, fine, then get help, but the point is you are scheduling games with a very small area so timing of games, travel isn't an issue.

My God people, just expect better. You know, kind of like your boss.

RCL and CalSouth don't do it any better either. CalSouth just yesterday changed the schedules for State Cup games this weekend. RCL hasn't published their spring schedules yet either, and they are starting on 2/2 also.

As for expectations, I don't expect much when it comes to youth soccer administration. There is no money for good administration - all the money goes to the DoCs

The point is that most of us have lives and it would be nice a week prior to starting to know how our lives need to adjust. What is acceptable, a day before? Teams have been signed-up for a while now and it isn't like there are 40 to schedule. Stop apologizing and expect better.

Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, rewind, this is the same complaint people were arguing about with OPL winter league less than two weeks ago, and as i remember it they were being told to love it or leave it...

The whole oregon soccer community is horribly screwed up, the biggest problem is there is no accountability, any time anyone tries to create any accountability, or some expectation of performance they are loudly told to go away.

This in turn absolves these leagues of any responsibility for results.

I agree with everyone about how screwed up it is, but until we stop making excuses and require results we will continue to suck.
