    ECNL Girls National Playoffs

ECNL Girls has 130 clubs or 780 teams total. 376 teams or 48% qualify for some bracket/tier of playoffs. Playoffs breakdown:

    Champions League-Top Bracket, 44 teams, U13 - U18/19

Broader math, comparing to entire 130 ECNL club pool:
34% chance of qualifying for this bracket via league conference performance.
    12% chance for Final 16, 6% chance for Final 8, 3% chance Final 4, 1.5% chance Final 2.

    North American Cup- 2nd tier, 16 teams, only U15, U16 U17
Plays like a tournament with a winner declared

    Showcase A- 3rd tier, 16 teams, only U16, U17
Plays like a showcase, 3 games and done

    Showcase B- 4th tier, 16 teams, only U16, U17
Plays like a showcase, 3 games and done

    Portland Thorns Academy
Champions League- U17, U16 and U14 teams playing
U13, U15, U18/19 teams did not qualify for any tier

    NW Elite

    U13, U14, U15, U16, U18/19 teams did not qualify for any tier

    #2
****Portland Thorns U17 #8 Nationally qualifying team
First game against #3 in the New England conference, Connecticut, who has only lost to the two top teams in this conference by 1 goal (World Class and FC Stars Blue) and then beat #1 FC Stars Blue the second time by 4 goals! They have also lost some games that on paper maybe they should have won too.

Second game against #2 in their North Atlantic Conference and #6 qualifying in the nation Penn Fusion. Not much to say here, going to be a hard game.

Third game against #3 ranked in the large Midwest Conference, Michigan Hawks. This “could be” the hardest game. They beat Penn Fusion in showcase play by one goal and only lost to #2 qualifying team in the nation SLSG Navy by one goal.

****Portland Thorns U16 #39 Nationally qualifying team
First Game against #13 nationally qualifying Indiana Fire, should be a hard game. In showcase games this year they have played some top teams to wins, ties or close losses.

Second Game may be the “easiest” against #29 nationally qualifying SLSG Navy. That said, they have been playing some really tough teams lately which should have them
      more prepared.

Third game is easily the hardest against #1 in Texas Conference and #6 qualifying in the nation, Solar.

****Portland Thorns U14 #25 nationally qualifying team
First game is a doozie against tied for #1 in the 15 team Midwest Conference SLSG Navy (they are listed at second due to goal difference).

Second game is against DKSC #1 in the Texas Conference, arguably the hardest conference in the nation at any age. Very tough opponent.

Third game against the Eagles #3 in the 9 team Mojave sub group of the Southwest Conference. This in theory should be the most manageable opponent.

****NW Elite U17 #72 Nationally qualifying team
First game against Rockford Rapids who were #8 in the Midwest conference, but may be a harder team then they appear on paper. They only lost to #1 in their conference SLSG Navy by one goal and beat a few teams higher ranked in their 15 team conference too. They appear inconsistent. Depending on who wins or loses, will affect NW Elite’s next game in their North American Cup tournament play.

Nobody cares about mediocre teams playing other mediocre teams pretending they are anything but.

            Enjoy the scam.

For real, not even close to the actual best teams in the country. Just hiding and pretending. Also paying for the scam.

I looked up the teams these supposed ECNL teams played and they lose to some garbage teams and they paid a lot to do it.

              what a joke.

Hey thorns coach, you really sound desperate.

We played the thorns ECNL team. They were pretty bad. They are only ok on the ages they poached fc Portland players when that club supposedly aligned with the thorns.

And yet again the Thorns prove to be the better option in Portland, if you like winning

Correction on this one. They are in Showcase A, one tier down from North American Cup. So three games and done I believe? Not sure why all 3 games are not posted.

Wouldn’t touch thorns with a 10’foot pole. Associated with abusers, drug pusher trainers, cover ups etc.

their club teams are a joke too. Side a coupon teams that poached fc Portland kids they are drowning.

We played one of there teams. It was funny because the parents didn’t even want their kid on the the team and they were pretty bad.

While neither Oregon team made it, this was obviously a strong age group for both teams so a big congratulations on a good year and youth career for many, and good luck to the graduates!
