In these selections it appears that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My DD is two years into college now and I have seen only about 18-19 games this season plus another 7-8 in the playoffs. The vast majority of those honored would not be on my lists. If you look back in time, many of the so honored ladies are busts, or complete busts, in college. Clearly, the system of selection is not good. Look for other indicators of excellence.

To be selected all state is a fun honor. Not everyone that should be there is, because all the schools have to be represented even if they have not won a game. The selection process is quite political.

If it were the Oregon G95 team there would be Washington players on the Oregon All-State Team.

So funny how some can not just let these girls bask in their few minutes of fame. Who cares if these weren't the girls you would've chosen? You didn't vote! The coaches voted and I think their soccer/player knowledge probably surpasses yours. And I thought the same thing when I looked at it, it looks like a lot of the 95 ODP players. Just let them have their moment in the sun.

The girls will have their moments in the sun. Do you think they really care about or read this forum? You are grossly mistaken about the coaches. The vast majority of them are not involved with club soccer and have their positions as a result of some tie-in with the school. Glorified rec players in most cases, if they even played at all. And yes, it does become too political.
