Crazy thing this year…how many clubs that used to have representation in State Cup, and now struggle to even be relevant in Presidents Cup.

speaking of clubs…what did FC do this year in 06 to have finalist in State and President? Where did they get players? So many clubs non existent at that level ADF, Westside, Santos. Seems like an odd age bracket vs others.

FC got a big pull from the clubs that are no longer in this u17 age group. However not too many additions on the navy team as they look the same with a few exceptions, I guess a lot of kids who were on the highest team on other clubs are on FC's second.

But many of them have returned.

Plus, WSM royally shot themselves in the foot by keeping JV as coach after it became clear he had worn out his welcome; a lot of talented players left for FC for that reason.

No PDX players returned to FC 06s. They drank BM's kool aid. FC had four teams at the 06 levels. FC have structured their staff really well. This group has had great numbers for years and great kids. But yes, BM did steal many 05 and 06s when he left for BSC. That sums him up. He spends years at FC and then takes their players. Once a rat, always a rat.

Epic fail by OYSA and Roberta for not notifying Eugene earlier. How are you going to do that to 10 year olds? And now, you’re gonna make them drive up to Portland midweek for a semifinal? It’s been said on here many times before, but we need new leadership at OYSA. Same old white farts been running it for too long. Only using OYSA to bolster their side businesses, whether it’s running local summer tournaments or something else.

What happened at the LOSC/NWE shootout that required a re-do?

Yes. Eugene and LOSC were at the field ready to play when word got passed on that it wasn’t going to happen. The reschedule hasn’t even been figured out. As far as I know the protest was rejected and the original outcome stood without any additional PK’s. Super frustrating.

Given that the FC 06s are in the State Cup final, and the "elite" ECNL UPDX 06 team is not, we know who is doing the crying.
