The Thorn's academy are in house. Their relationship with Westside fell apart last year

I thought they were shacking up with FC this past season.

As they are a pay to play club and not a true (i.e. free) professional academy, partnering with a youth club makes sense. Problem is, they think that their youth club partners should be honored to do business with them, and the admin side quickly becomes a burden for the host club.

You thought wrong. Thorns kicked PC to the curb, then Westside to the curb and the ECNL doesn't care they are not a youth club as long as the check is good.
