Not true. There is no rule requiring MLS academies be fully subsidized. It is up to each of the individual MLS club to decide.

Literally no one watches MLS academy soccer, nor do people watch HS or club soccer except parents and this goes for boys or girls.

Female professional sports has far less fans and thus income compared to male sports. This is not new.

Why have people resorted to name-calling? The thread was asking why the Thorns charge and the boys do not. Does The Thorns have rights to the ECNL players when they leave high school or college? If the answer is no, then it is not an academy and has no affiliation.
