Not sure I can drive to Camas but it’s good to know a true Premier experience exists for my son’s age group next season with Washington Timbers. Hate that it sounds like he will be separated from his teammates next season if some make it on to OPFC. I do believe separation this early and telling kids that they are elite or premier at the age of 10 is absurd and psychologically taxing for those who don’t make it (can even argue same for those that do, for they might get a false sense of superiority). Especially when you’re talking about youth soccer in Oregon and the fact that they’ll play in the exact same division and exact same league next year. Sounds like a whole lot of packaging with the same goods. Not good all around.
WashTimb / Columbia Crackpupes won’t even be in ECNL next year, go read what the Washington board thinks of them.

UPDX was total **** this year, younger teams SUCK. They won’t improve without getting WSM and OPFC and Saints kids.

Your a crappy ass parent of your sole focus is on what clubs people on TS think are premier.
Ask your kid who he wants play with. Teammates not losing much if you’re not their.

Very easy to tell who this could be. Could only be two or three different people based on everything that was written here and the clubs mentioned.

      stay scared.

Nailed it. LOSC board members are dumber than plants. Rumor has it… nevermind. They know what they’re hiding. Doomsday is near…

ECNL membership is based on what anonymous posters in Washington section of the this forum think of your club. Got it.

Just so I have this right: last year, the top 2011 teams for LOSC and WUFC each made it to the Oregon State Cup Semifinals.

This season, neither is even among the 25 teams participating in State Cup?!

              hahahahahahahahahahahah

Is this valid? Doesn’t seem like it would be possible. Wrecking 2 clubs for the benefit of a 3rd? Screwing 30 kids for the benefit of 12?

Technically impossible. Both teams played in the President’s cup in the fall. This would disqualify them from playing in State Cup. You can’t play in any cup in the fall (Prez, Founder’s, etc) and then state cup in spring. Now, why LOSC or WUFC would forgo the state cup to play in the meaningless other cups in the fall makes little sense, but rules are rules and you can’t do anything about the situation now. Stupid parents want to get played by their club admins and directors and are too scared to speak up, so it’s their own fault.

I thought it's been clear for as long as OSSA (or whatever they used to be called)/Crossfire Oregon/OPFC has been around, the relationship between them and the various local member clubs were:

                    * Local member clubs provide full-service at younger ages, and rec/select (but not premier) once it gets to U12 or so.
                    * They combine their best talent at middle school ages and above into one team, to better train the players and compete in state tournaments and beyond.

If this is changing--and LOSC/WUFC are no longer cool with sending their top players to OPFC, that might be a big change. Of course OPFC is now recruiting well beyond it's traditional Clackamas County territory, so if I were a WUFC parent I might be annoyed that Alex has been calling kids from Beaverton and Portland to join his club, rather than promoting the best from his supposed partners.

It did get them to finally win something and lose the "club zero" moniker, so there's that. But I can imagine a few of the Trumpier LO parents aren't entirely happy with some of AH's clients, I mean recruits, even if they are good at soccer.

This is patently false but a good way to shut parents up. Especially those that listen without questioning the veracity of it all. There are plenty of teams that played in Presidents and Founders cup in the fall and are now playing in the state cup. At all age levels. Don’t be a sheep. The false innuendo from Frasey and Iacolucci extends to even over here to this forum…

I DON'T BELIEVE THE POSTER!! If you come on here, you must have some idea of how ridiculous Oregon soccer is. Here is a thought: Try and figure it out yourself. Speak to the club. Ask them about their vision for player development. You speak to OPFC, and it will feel like you are buying a car. Parents in youth sports have no clue about developing their children, but they all seem to quickly jump on the negative bus when the team does not win. Do what all parents do, LOOK FOR THE CURRENTLY WINNING TEAM! That's why Saints FC does well. Big strong kids at the younger ages with boot ball soccer. As they move to 13 and above, the coaches are clueless and the players have no idea how to play soccer.

Let me elaborate: at OPFC, it’s like you’re buying a car that you later realize was stolen and will be repoed but you ignore the tow truck because your kids gets to wear a cool yellow uniform and they tell you that he or she is premier so you’re good for now

This club won’t exist in 6 months. I know what I know.

The only way they escaped their decades long 'club Zero' moniker was reaching out to and nabbing Central Oregon's finest at the boys oldest ages. Which is truly poetic, poignant & prudent. #doubledipping #privatesforall #payonce.thenpaytwice.whichisnice #suburbanfinancialplanners #samecoachat4xthecost
