    Surprised FC Portland wasn't ranked higher after beating Crossfire and WPFC and winning the NWCL this weekend. Maybe we should get Jeff Sagarin involved. :)

      It's tough to compare US and Canadian teams since they use different age systems. And yes age does make a difference.

        I'm sure once lastplanet has enough data he'll be able to determine how much influence the age difference has. It's there, but how large is it??

            I noticed some anecdotal evidence for this in my sons B99 team at his club. While there aren't any kids "playing up" this year for the club, approximately 85% of the "A" team players were born in 99 while approximately 85% of the "B" team players were born in 00.
