A guy who is dirtier than any of the local OYSA/ECNL shysters, if that can be believed. Someone who was part of the "Global Premier Soccer" racket, an enterprise so corrupt and shady that it's COO plead guilty to visa fraud and faced up to five years of prison, in a scandal that has also brought down the head of Premier League side Aston Villa's women's team, who was recently arrested and charged in England.

Nobody else in Oregon will touch him with a ten meter pole, and he was essentially run out of another state prior to coming here, so his "club" is homeless. The ethical standards of OYSA may be low, but they do exist.

While that sounds bad, it’s not as bad as the Portland thorns in the last 9 months. Just saying.

Or UPDX sweeping under the carpet their coaching issues on the girls side.

What issues? Curious as considering UPDX for my daughter.

They fired their girls director very much out of the blue for safe sport violations, but then more or less completely refused to acknowledge any follow up to the situation, communicate openly with parents, players, or coaches, or admit any wrongdoing. UPDX leadership is ethically void and shockingly unprofessional.

Ah yes, the club that FIRED a coach for safesport violations is ethically void. Makes sense.

Who was supervising this coach? Who is responsible for communicating what happened to players/families? This was the director of an entire program, and the lack of communication surrounding what happened is the problem - not the firing.

That is just it though....the coach was cleared through Safesport and the question remains...were there ever any violations? Or did that coach become disposable because of something else?
