Pretty sure its predicated on their ECRL teams' success this year. Idk details, but it seems fairly likely for sure.

For sure - which is why it's likely they pass whatever bar was set for them and end up in ECNL...

On the girls side, they are currently ECRL , but likely to get ECNL for next season. On the boys side, they already are ECNL.

Portland cannot support more than two girls ECNL teams. If one of those other teams joins ECNL then NWE better be moved to ECRL.

What a silly move by ECNL and PDX. Selling BS is their MO. No thought for the players.
Why would ECNL add another club after what happened to FC Portland? NW Elite cannot even win games, and that's with Oregon having two clubs. Oregon should have one club, not three. Then again, the one that is winning is a con. The game is in shambles.

Had girl in club soccer here for a decade.

History shows Oregon cannot support two successful ECNL teams, for most age years. We get lucky once in a while and can deliver two pretty good teams at one age group, the 04/05a for both Thorns and NW Elite are doing pretty good (4th and 5th in league out of 14 teams), but most years there just isn’t enough talent.
