OYSA took over ODP from Portland Timbers. Practice for boys teams haven’t even started and its so late in the season. Charging an arm and leg. Who else isn’t going and what are your thoughts? Please don’t comment if you haven’t been in ODP for the last few years. Should ODP stay with Timbers or should Oregon just not have ODP? OYSA is a joke.

The Portland Timbers should have nothing to do with ODP. Training has stared. The fee is carry over from the Timbers and will probably be adjusted next year. The Timbers dumped ODP on them last minute. Prior to the Timers OYSA did a fine job with ODP

ODP is a waste of time and money and has been for 20 years. It is a road that leads players to nowhere. If you are involved with ODP you are a lemming.

Bringing an end to a level of organized nonprofit extortion in youth sports, all spearheaded by an MLS franchise operator, the dismissal of these clueless minions is about 10+ years late, but like they say better late than never.
This is the kind of home cooking we all have come to expect with a 'Baker's Dozen' at the helm of the OYSA over the last decade.
What a joke, glad he is gone also, along with the retread rejects that occupied the front office of the starship USS Paulson/Wilkinson/Golub.
To go, where no decent human, would ever dream.

It doesn’t matter who runs the ODP program because it leads nowhere. It is literally the same retread program for the past 20+ years. It is simply a way for soccer bums to fleece more money from parents. And, the funny thing is that it is still called ODP. Americans think Olympic soccer is something to aspire to. That is just funny.

Unfortunately ODP this year, regardless of who is “in charge”, is a total waste. Asking for over a thousand dollars for at most 6 practices and 5 games in Arizona is the same pay for play wolf, just in OYSA clothing.
The entirety of the ODP program needs torn down and rebuilt to compete with MLS Next Academies. USYS is fighting to stay relevant, and are losing 2-0.

Something just so fishy about OYSA and its leadership. Self perpetuating, Nelson Larson taking over for Roberta Cloutier, one of their employees running summer tourneys as a side hustle… someone needs to make a call to the DOJ. Just to take a look.

If you have any issues or concerns with OYSA, ODP, etc… just tell us at our board annual general meeting in January. Info on our website.

I imagine showing up to an in-person board meeting would be much the same.
