USL might still be good for the PDX soccer scene in general, who knows, but we can't pretend its creation was in any way meant to service its current paying members. Recruitment will always be the UPDX way.

Just so everyone knows, USL 2 has been in Portland, mildly successful. There are other summer college team as well. UPDX have a team is self serving. And again the college coaches are not that thrilled with USL 2. Colleges play a fall and spring season. D3 and NAIA are short spring leagues but these are not USL 2 players

The same poster keeps posting how good they are. Taking boys ECNL, which runs in the Fall season and conflicts with High school, is stupid. Getting ECRL and playing three weekends of the year is stupid. They will not get the USL men or women; they do not have the facilities. This is the MO of BM. Just before tryouts, spout garbage, and watch the suckers bite. They are champions of sleaze! If you fall for this nonsense, you are stupid!
