For some cold hard facts, they “fled” after he passed them on to another Eastside coach after 3 years with them. Which is pretty normal at most clubs (2-3 year coaching cycle). They had made the State Cup semis and then final in his last 2 years. Respectfully, I think he overachieved with that team, given the other more talented teams they were up against - Capital, OPFC, UPDX, ADF etc

Will Eastside seek a female DOC to help boost the girls side? Rumor is NO!
Will Eastside open the position for applicants? Rumor is NO!

It’s important to point out for people that in the state of Oregon in the past 15 years that all three avenues put out teams better than the others any given year and there is no club in the state that is successful at have the best teams more than a year or two. NEVER.
you will have ECNL club teams and thorns ECNL older teams like their 03 and 04s that won’t commit one player to a top school let alone be able to win a state cup if they played. They all have had teams that haven’t won games all year or teams that are decent.
Usys will have a 03 team from gps that will commit 4 to pac12 or Eugene having 1-4 d1 players each year. Usys Westside out-committed the Thorns in most of the years.
GA in Oregon is littered with bad teams with some quality teams.
All affiliations have teams that have and can wipe the floor with the anything that comes out of Oregon. It’s always been this way and never changes.
you can spend 80k and all your time and effort in ga or ecnl to not even be close to some kid winning Oregon state cups and dominating state leagues and regional leagues.
happens every year.
