Boycott Timbers and Thorns until Merritt Paulson is gone

I have been wondering though, finding an owner wont be easy for a league that struggles to make money. Its why normally owners who own other teams seem to be in the NWSL. I think if Paulson sells the thorns hes going to sell it to an owner who plans to move them to a different city. So likely it will be the end of the Portland thorns if he sells it. Especially if he keeps ownership of the Timbers. He wont want them around to remind him of all this.

I understand the whole behavior issues from the front office, but the whole "organization will thrive" piece is confusing to me. Are they not already thriving?

The Thorns are the flagship team of the NWSL. They have the highest average attendance in the league. Their roster has always been star-studded with huge names. Every single NWSL would gladly trade places with the Thorns if they could. They have finished outside the top 3 in the NWSL league season one time. That is the definition of dominance.

The Timbers have also had a ton of success relative to the league. 2x Western Conference Season Champs, 3x Western Conference Playoff Champions, 1x MLS is Back Champs, and 1x MLS Cup Champions.

How many teams in the MLS have been "thriving" as much as the Timbers? The Chicago Fire? DC United? The Rapids?

Also, this DEFINITELY isn't Merrit Paulson. I'm totally not him. Totally not wasting my time on here.

Portland will make the playoffs, get a home game, sellout and make hundreds of thousand of dollars. Thorns will also get a playoff game same thing and it be justified as "I wanted to support the players. Here is a better one, why do these ladies play for the Thorns. What does OYSA have to do with any of this? Peregrine should get out of running youth leagues, but OYSA isn't, to my knowledge, abusing anyone.

They basically card players and sanction teams and leagues, and hire and supply referees. They don't coach kids or run teams.

And nowadays there's only one club in the metro area still affiliated with the Timbers. Westside, CFC, and Vantucky are all out already, or getting out.
