I see BSC and WT Copa TS promoting up to Premier next Fall.
Score... IDK... I say 2-1 WT win.

Please don't be offended but I continue to be surprised BSC keeps winning. We played them in the summer and just didn't think they were near the strength of WT TS (which we also played in summer). And just didn't think they (BSC) would run the table like they have. But congrats to them they've earned their promotion to Premier. I feel for RVSC as they have done well with as much traveling and double games they've have. We also played the bottom Premier teams this summer and feel WT TS is stronger than the bottom 2-4 Premier teams. My DD's team is sitting just a little below these three teams; hope we can get more consistent and be top 2 next year.

I predict a 2-0 win for WT TS but maybe BSC will surprise me once again!

Good luck to all the girls.

I am predicting a 3-0 WT COPA TS win. Yes I may be a little bias as my DD is a WT player on a different team but COPA has only allowed 1 goal this season and also shutout the bottom 2 premier teams during the Summer.

My DD's team has played both BSC and Timbers TS. Quite frankly, BSC is the better side, not as physical as TS but they play soccer. TS has a couple of soccer players, the rest are just the girls from the area that are either fast or have had their growth spurt. It works well at U11 and U12 in D1, but it they don't learn the game soon they will be a flash in the pan and will not be around in a couple of years. They will go to other clubs to learn how to play soccer then have some success playing for their high schools.

BSC doesn't need to foul, strings together passes, has better touches, etc. It's no surprise they are at the top. IMHO

I predict a strong WT Copa TS finish! Of course having the DOC and the HS Varsity coach as their coaches adds to their already strong presents.

But BSC has an ex-Timber on their sidelines if their DOC comes to watch!

Tough game. Westside TS dominated first half with possession ball, missed PK but had a great 4 angle passing goal. 2nd half BSC game back with a physical charge at WT keeper and winning a goal. 1-1 tie. Both teams moving up the Premier next Fall.

                  Westside Premier Teams

There are too many teams from the west side (THUSC, Westside Timbers, BSC and FC Portland) to compete in next year's U13 Premier league against the already regionally consolidated Vancouver Timbers and Eastside Timbers.

and I've heard rumors from the FCSC side that they might combine with VTimbers...are you saying that VTimbers and Eastide may combine? Those three teams are outstanding. We are excited to make it into Premier Division for next fall.

                      mergers

Vancouver Timbers and Eastside Timbers have already swallowed up the smaller local clubs and players from the holdouts, which is why they will continue to produce top teams (and develop top players) in the NW. Some of their age groups have two Premier teams per. The west side has had minimal consolidations of clubs and certainly not in the teams within them. My point is that there are not enough players on the west side for each to produce (among FC Portland, THUSC, Westside Timbers, BSC, Southside,...) top NW regional teams or keep the same eight in the OPL Premier league. Note that the BSC team that took first place in the First Division and is going to OPL Premier next fall did so partly by recruiting from FC Portland. It wasn't about the quality of the water around OES or who was standing on the sidelines. As a result, FC Portland took a big hit in the rankings. They were the top OPL Premier team last year but ranked 6 of 8 this year. The best bet for girls on the west side to pull it together is the Westside Timbers. They already did it for boys. The other clubs will likely become feeders into their program.

Westside for girls? Hahahahahah!! No talented girl wants to play for WST just so they can fund the boys program.

FC Portland did quite well on the boys side winning the premier division at U12, U13, and U14 so I'd say they're competing quite well with the Timbers Alliance teams.

I know this may have been the impression given in the past but having had a kid in the program I can honestly say we have been really happy with everything offered by WST on the girls side. We don't see our girls being slighted in any way - in fact we seem to get many more opportunities. With multiple teams per age group there is lots of subbing on various teams, off season Futsal offering is part of the overall fee, Alliance activities, etc.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that times change.

                            WST for Girls

WST has every age group covered for girls and boys in the upcoming 2013 Fall OPL Premier League. In the last Fall season, some age groups for girls have four teams in the OPL. WST is now the largest competitive girl's and boy's program in Oregon. The line-ups at ODP/Timbers Pre-Academy for the East, West and Vancouver RTC programs are dominated by Timbers Alliance kids although all of the clubs were represented in tryouts. Times have changed.

And where are the girls? All in division 1 or lower. You can try to brag all you want but the reality is WST will always be a boys club. No girl in her right mind will play there unless they are happy playing division 1. I realize that you will try to throw Sherwood teams in there but that is Sherwood, not Westside and everyone knows it. Not many are going to go all the way to Sherwood to play when THUSC, FC, and OSSA are right here. My daughter plays in the premier division and honestly I can't remember the last time we played a WST team.

WST only cares about the boys and that's fine. FC is still the dominating boys club in the area.
