Depends on Gender, for Girls the key travel leagues are ECNL (most competitive) and GA (Less travel distance and less competitive at least for NW). ECRL is the second tier ECNL, and also has travel to the same ECNL clubs. Boys - ECNL/MLS Next. USYS is introducing more travel options for exposure, which are on top of normal club schedule with regional/national travel opportunities for scouting and exposure....NWC/Pro. etc. As mentioned above, if you have a kid that wants to be a PRO or go D1 best exposure is ECNL for girls and MLS Next/ECNL for boys. If not (like 99%) just find a team your kid likes and have fun....and ideally save money and don't do all the crazy travel.
