Kudos to the timbers u12's but they were outmatched.
what was your take on the Timber- Crossfire game?

Saying they could finish top 3 OPL GU13 isn't saying much.

Crossfire looked tired. Vtimbers looked very good. I wish they played in the opl, it would strengthen our league. I would love to get a chance or two to play them

While its great to play tough competition and that's what we are here for I have to say that mountain united should've played at the u13 level. The size and speed difference was unreal. Mountain united looked like a team that has played a whole year more than us
Age group cutoff is different in BC. By calendar year, not school year. So on average those girls were likely at least a several months older.

To be exact. They are all at LEAST 6 months older to a year.

Actually we have 8 girls with may/June/July 01 bays

              T
I heard they have 10 girls born Jan/Feb/march of 2000

That's a large group of girls with 15-17 months difference

Get over it. If you can't beat Mountain then you'd fail at Surf Cup anyway.

obviously you haven't been to surf. I've been there four times with my daughters team. At u11 we didn't get out of bracket. Mountain united would be a favorite at surf with the team they have right now, if they would allow them to play with older girls. I'm confident that mountain united would make semi's.
We beat mountain united 2-1 in round robin play but lost to them in the semi's. They dominated the play. You could tell the difference in athleticism between the teams. It would be like our team playing NWCL at u11.

I agree with poster above, if you cant beat Mountain United you will get crushed at Surf. Also, Mountain United will have to play their age at Surf

good to know, we've been to surf the past two years. VTimbers beat Mountain United also in round robin play and NWN tied them, so those two teams are worthy of surf cup

                        Timber Parent,
I would make other plans this Summer because most likely you will not be going to Surf, your one and only chance was by winning NWCL

lol.....not so much. We have never lost to vtimbers. We are much farther north :)
Vtimbers can't get into surf. In fact, there isn't a gu12 team in your area that could

Yet you cant beat SC and VT has only lost to them once in almost 3 years

there are a couple of teams that gives us troubles. Snohomish and SC give us problems with their style of play. They have girls that can send a ball to the moon and both of those teams have forwards that are very skilled. Our coach tells us that that style of play is successful at early ages but those teams go away in time. VT is a similar team to SC. Both teams work hard if I remember VT correctly they don't have one or two studs but are a very well rounded team. But then again, who knows, things change each year. We will do NWCL for one more year before ECNL and hopefully my daugher is good enough to be a part of it. Right now there is a possibility that our family moves to the Beaverton area due to my husband potential new job. He has been traveling down there for the past three months.

VT & SC are both good teams.

After that, there are no similarities.
