Maybe that's why they been playing in minnow brackets all summer. Tournament directors have spread the word and won't let them in any flights that count.

Mt. Hood tourney’s hosted by WUFC. And there was cheating by a coach at OPFC… who happens to be the coaching director at WUFC (Mike Iacolucci). Way to set an example lol
You can’t even make this stuff up. Seems like WUFC house is really in order.

Ray Nelson’s son was the one who played a year down. Iacolucci also brought in a ringer from Timbers Academy for good measure, and he played on the losing finalist’s team (ADF). Anything to secure the coveted Mt Hood world championship.

Fist WUFC and OPFC do have a relationship. 2nd this is old news, public opinion is they cheated. I believe they asked there own hired staff if the player could play and was granted the exception. The whole thing is pretty stupid as it is the MT Hood Challenge, just a fun way to end summer.

opfc not even playing their academy teams in the mt hood challenge at the older ages? Don’t want to spoil that “perfect summer tourney record” for the 04/05 and lose to any local teams that are actually premier level teams I guess.

I am surprised this has come up. Why in the world would it be a thing at this point except for one of the deeply anti OPFC people out there.
OPFC, WSM and UPDX are the big dogs in Oregon. Like it or not. These three are the big dogs.
