U 10? Just enjoy it while you can. You have plenty of years to be obsessed but only a few to appreciate your CHILD being a CHILD.

I can't remember if they keep score at this age. Does Westside have a good team? How about Lake Oswego? I would guess that a lot of the kids that are serious will start gravitating to the Timbers' teams.

Easily done by implementing a rule that specifies a violation if a boot-ball occurs. Define boot ball as something like the defender kicking the ball that plays in the air ahead of the last opposing defender or something more precise. Until then, this is all touchy-feely talk.

So here's an article to prove it. But if only 11 play out of 50 states, does it matter? I mean seriously. We play 11 at U11. Is it in the kids best interest? No, but the arrogant doc's can make more money. It's all a joke.

The guy/gal that started this will be the person that is raging n here in three years. You can probably already pick him/her out.
FYI. What you get at U10 does not matter one bit as probably 30% of the kids quit classic soccer by U15. Then the rest gravitate to two or three good teams by U16. Some of the best teams fall apart completely and do not exist.

I am curious to where you get your statistics?
