Legg is a much better director as shown with his time at CU and formerly a coach at XFire.

justi was cool with everything for 12 years until she didn’t get a promotion and now is upset about bernies conduct?

bernie isn’t right in the head but justi is a opportunist and a snake.

Legg a good DOC? He was fired from Oregon. Terrible leader. He would do his own side gigs while working on Xfire Oregons dime at showcases. He didn’t do anything to improve the club. He used it.

Man this is the narrative now from CU folks. Pretty sad.

KL turned this club (CU)into a top 20 ECNL club and when he took it over from start it was a laughing stock. FCP used to beat up on CU before KL took it over. Sadly the best days of this group have left with KL. He was let go, that is true but it was a monumental mistake and the club will never be the same.

Your break from reality is actually a spin for the ages.

The creation of the DA for girls resulted in bottom-feeder ECNL clubs like (CU) being left behind in the shallows of a completely decimated league.(this is what you are leaning on for proof of quality? LOL)

. It is obvious why (CU) wasn't elevated to the DA status back then, whilst the top 50 clubs from the ECNL were-- CU sucked both regionally and nationally & still does.

Nothing has changed, BTW not disclosing is worse than lying.

Not one team was "elevated" from ECNL to DA - DA turned out to be an over promoted clown show of a league - much more of a demotion than anything else.

To clarify no local Oregon girls club was elevated from the ECNL (US Club) ro the DA. Why not? Back when the DA invited the Nations best amateur clubs (XF wa.r for example), the bar for admission was set to high for any Oregon club to even garmer consideration or even have a prayer of getting in.

But since Oregon, more specically Portland is home to the world famous woemens NWSL Thorns professional soccer club, their youth academy teams did get the nod to join thr DA.

You nailed iit regarding demotion, once the the DA folded all this nations best of the best clubs were without a league to play in and naturally fell to the lower levels such as usys, us club & GA.

Allowing this present day clown show to thrive in perpetuity.

                      As the days go by.....

And yet with all the BS and Propaganda you thorns people try to sell…

DA, NWSL, Blah Blah they scammed families into believing. Just like the sellers pitch you see above.

It all resulted in the following:

2003 Thorns Academy Team ended up one of the worst teams in Oregon among all the club teams. They were an embarrassment. They had a US soccer guy and a thorns assistant coach and they couldn’t win a game and got embarrassed by OYSA teams when they played.

2004 Thorns Academy Team ended up not being able to field a full team for games and they couldn’t beg people to go on travel trips. Many of the players left. 9 players to trainings and relied on random people who didn’t know any better to Guest play.

Nothing has changed and they still try to sell people on the BS. If you want the truth, ask the countless people who left the thorns after they find out the smoke and mirrors game is a standard practice there.

Don’t forget about the commitments they claimed came from them but those players were committed elsewhere prior.

Truly it sucks to get passed over and not even be considered an elite program it is painful next.

The reason the thorns were elevated to the elite best of the best standard has had to do with their professional team.

the reason all the Oregon clubs never were invited To be part of the top level because they suck but as you point it out we all suck.

                            The c*** is still c***

Old news. Last I checked they just had 2023s committed to Boston University (D1 upper mid tier), Grand Canyon (D1 Top 100), University of Portland (currently ranked D1 Top 25 in nation), Gonzaga x 2 (D1 Top 100), Denver (D1 Top 100), Oregon State (D1 Top 100), Montana (D1 upper mid tier) and that is just off the top of my head. All but two of these girls has been with the Thorns being developed by the the Thorns for 3+ years. One has been with the Thorns 2 years. One just transferred over from FC Portland, so no credit there. Expected a minimum of 2-5 more 2023 college commits this Fall depending on how things shore up for a few of the remaining players finalizing their choices.

2024s are just starting to come in with commitments, but there looks to be several commitments. University Oregon (D1 top 100), Rutgers (D1 #3 currently in nation) and word on the street is to expect at LEAST 9 more D1 commitments from this class. Reminder** 2024s are later 2005 born players or winter spring summer of 2006 born. ALL these athletes except one 2006 that just transferred from NWE have been on the Thorns for many years, minimum 4+.

I believe NW Elite 2023 class is strong with 3 recruits committed to the University of San Francisco (D1 Top 100), one D2 commit, not sure on their whole class, but this is a good group! Despite all the injuries on NW Elite’s 2024 team, given some good talent on that team, I am assuming they will have a solid group of D1 commits too.

Unsure on other clubs in the area, but it is safe to say…the commenter that said the Thorns are taking credit for other clubs commits… WILL YOU PLEASE LEAVE THE BUILDING ALREADY?!? OLD NEWS. Commits 2023 and forward are nearly all Thorns developed. They have been developing these girls for years despite the DA League creation and dissolution and the School year to Birth year change debacles that rocked the elite youth soccer world. If anything, the 2023 and 2024 Thorns commits should be even more celebrated. They have been through a lot of systemic soccer changes and are reaping the rewards of keeping development as the priority through it all! Birth years after 2006 have it considerably easier, they just don’t know it. And that’s okay. Facts are facts. Watch the Thorns (and hopefully other clubs) homegrown commit list grow!!

Hahahaha so much BS in this is hilarious.

you just proved my point. Case and point. Game set match.

2023s?! You didn’t commit one D1 player from the 2023s! What a joke!

Isn’t it funny that you will spend a year writing BS propaganda on here?

Dont lie. Why are you so desperate?

are you worried that 2005 and so on will be just as bad as the 2004 and 2003 when people realize they don’t need the toxic propaganda?
