Nelson Larson is eh. Was time for ancient Roberta to go 2 years ago, and he has been positioning himself for some time to take over her post. Bold prediction: he won’t be working with OYSA past 2022. I know what I know.

OYSA has turn down many request for clubs to join simply because of the bigger clubs not likening competition close by, and because of this over hundreds of kids now play in private small non affiliated leagues in Oregon. This is not good for anyone. Someone just needs to unite every organization and not discriminate for any reason. Help provide a pathway for every level to help grow the sport in this state.
I have watched a few of these underground games and were impress. After talking with the coaches of these teams they all have 1 thing in common, the players and coaches would not coach or play in some of these bigger clubs because of corruption or greed.
I personally can not say this as I'm new here because of the Military. Been stationed in every region of the US and never seen anything as bad as it is here. My kids quickly started to hate soccer and evidence to me of at 1 reason why soccer is failing in this state. All personal views but from experience.

Yawn.
The 09 PCU girls team routinely beat the Thorns, the 07 UPDX girls were successful.
I am only stating this because I have seen both ECNL and OYSA girls teams extensively and I can assure you the top teams in OYSA are far better than “Rec” and can beat Oregon and some WA ECNL teams with certainty.

Are they not being allowed to register at all--player not being issued cards, etc?
Can they register as clubs, but are being told they can't join OYSA leagues or cups?
Or are they being told that they can't joint Premier Gold out of the chute, and have to earn their way up?
Looking at Rogue United--it appears they are a training business that is trying to turn into a club. They are registered with the state as a non-profit, but it wouldn't surprise me if OYSA has closed the ADF loophole.
