Coaching Staff Break Down.

We have a staff of 34 coaches
1 Club Director of Coaching: Jason Carney
2 U9-U11 Girls & Boys Directors focusing on our “Foundation Academy”
33 coaches currently hold a recognized USSF License
10 coaches either hold a USSF/UEFA "A" or "B" License
10 Female coaches on staff
ALL 36 coaches have either played at college or pro level
1 Club Blueprint for all coaches to follow. It is vital for Clubs to follow a structure that focuses on a player centric environment that encourages player development at all age groups throughout their time with FC Portland Soccer Academy.”

Please take notice of what FC Portland shows you to make you feel like you are in the right place:

Now consider that the same people are responsible for the entire girls side of the club failing. Yes we are talking about their girls teams that haven’t won a single game all year and have scored 2-3 goals all year but let in 60+.

All that experience, all those licenses, all that talk about foundation and one blueprint. All of that did nothing to help as in the past years the club had a league placement pulled from them, no state cup winners, thousands and thousands of dollars lost, miles and miles of travel done that yielded nearly lawsuit results.

Also look at the statement made that they have a “great line up of female and male Coaches”…sounds really descriptive…does that mean they don’t hire non binary coaches? Either way it’s desperate propaganda.

The one great FC Portland girls side was ruined by arrogant coaches, ECNL, BS sales, and no follow through.

First off: your quote is completely inaccurate......in the club emails and social posts all it actually says is "Presenting out line up go coaches for the 2022-23 season"
Second: if we are talking ECNL results, i encourage you to look at the 07 team who have actually won games. have the other teams done well? nope. Is that maybe why they pulled out of ECNL? Yes.....that takes guts, as much as i'm sure you would hate to admit that. Would other OR clubs do the same? NOPE! Their model within ECNL wasn't working so instead of continuing to collect $$$ etc etc they pulled out....good for them for having the decency to do that. Of course they are not going to win state cups on the girls side in years past. Are there boys teams good? not bad, they have some decent younger teams advancing into the semi / quarter finals.
Third: non binary.......really???
Fourth: you are the definition of what's wrong with the OR Soccer landscape.....dickhead parents!
Final closing statements you are a bitter idiot loaded with "fake news". If you are going to dis at least have something to back it up instead of the bull**** you are spewing. I can smell you bad tainted breath from of BS from my laptop

Really? They should of pulled out years ago. These results have occurred for many years.

They didn't choose to leave. They were forced to leave. It was announced to them at the start of this ECNL season. Enough with this BS.

But tryouts are in 2 weeks. They should be honest about what they will be providing before the tryouts happen.

Did Bill Irwin come out of retirement to ooach again? Looking at his resume...he must be 80! Can he still deal with the younger kids? The club seems to rely heavily on the older generation that was tied to Clive. Clive would have wanted the club to bring in new inspiring coaches...a high level of energy. Not sure they are living up to his vision.
