Rumor...Westside hasn't announced coaches, because they can't find any with credentials to join. With JV leaving 3 teams and not having an assistant that could step in...and other coaches rolling up to practice in walkers...they are struggling to compile a group of coaches.


Again...that is rumor from coaches i know at several clubs. Anyone hear different?

With so many clubs and the talent pool of players spread across so many teams long time good coaches are leaving clubs, especially OYSA clubs. Look for coaches to stop coaching or consolidate at UPDX or on the girls side NW Elite. OPFC picked up a few good coaches with their efforts to become a elite club in the Elite Academy League.

Never heard the rumor that JV was credentialed to coach soccer. That's a good one.

Going to be interesting to see how tryouts go esp with updx and ECNL. Anxious to see what tryouts will be like for OPFC 09 boys. Couple of the best players from CFC will be trying out. May be a good season for the next year.

OPFC 09s is all politics..not all the top players make the team..good luck!

That historically been a problem as far as not picking the top players? Well hopefully they will if they want to challenge westside next year in oysa. Hopefully there will be an influx of other "top" players coming down from other clubs and not to westside or even united lol

Clearly you don't know the history with that team. LOSC 09s dominated Westside and the rest back in the day. OPFC killed that instead of bulding. Westside kept building. Even Cuervos passed them. No they won't add many new players as that would mean cutting present players with political implications. Sorry to burst your bubble. I would suggest your kid has a plan B tryout even if he is a good player.

Also, are even an opfc parent? You could say any team is political with their already established players. Don't worry you're not bursting my bubble. This is real life buddy. That's why this is a tryout. There is no guarantee
