    ECRL Northwest still alive?

Is the ECRL still alive? On the site, no matches are scheduled?

They played it all during 2 different weekends. There is talks about having it be a full time fall league.

Will there be a winter/spring season like ECNL?

Why? The ECRL clubs are struggling in OYSA premier, both Westside and NWE. FCP doesn’t even appear to have a team at some age groups.

            FCP should be in OYSA

Interesting huh? Some ECNL teams can't even compete in premier gold well.

ECNL is still the best league in the country and it is not even close.

It is for girls. For boys, the jury is still out. Some places it's MLSNext, some ECNL and some USYS - too convoluted.

                    Where is it ever USYS?

MidWest and Mountain States, even some of the SouthEast.

In general, MLS Next > BECNL > USYS state leagues. (The places where BECNL is strongest have no or limited MLS Next options, and so forth). USYS will offer leagues anywhere, even in small rural states where there simply isn't a critical mass of players to compete at higher levels.

The various USYS regional leagues are stronger than the state leagues, obviously, but clubs have to qualify for them. Neither MLS Next nor BECNL have pro/rel, by which weaker clubs are expelled and new clubs invited to take their place.

I think that's pretty accurate. Also, a lot of clubs, across the country, don't have competitive depth across every age and MLS/ECNL don't make a lot of sense for those organizations, so USYS Regional Leagues work well. MLSNext and ECNL seems to work better in areas where there is a large, concentrated playerbase. You can see that it works well for the Seattle area, but not much outside. It could have just as easily been an MLS Next league.

Really? ...huh...well I guess America can't produce quality players which is why most of the US squad was brought up abroad.
