Several top 09 boys did not go. Some on the roster ended up backing out, and some really good ones didn't even make the roster. Not everyone can afford ODP and alot of great 09 boys don't even bother with ODP anymore. In the age of Covid, some are focusing on school and reducing soccer travel. Besides, one of the top 09 boys doesn't even play for Oregon and plays for a Seattle team. If you are in the loop, you know who I'm talking about.Comment

More games vs other garbage ODP teams-- playing Soccer kingpin states (WA. Cal N, Cal S, AZ & CO) where the MLS next has devoured nearly every decent youth male player in those states leaving the 6th tier player to compete vs Oregon 2nd tier talent and Wyoming/Montana's top dawgs..
Call it the Founder's cup finals or something akin to EAL games in Florida or Showcasing girls all over the country for the love of travel---all on the road to nowhere, playing nobody.

3 players missing in the 09s max. One player that made the roster does not belong. Goalies are not the best in the state either not sure why they were not selected. The rest of the roster is correct. That top player you mentioned is a great futsal player. That does not translate to 11 aside. Different game. Maybe that's why he wasn't called.
