Latest update: Bilanski has now been charged with a crime: https://www.bendsource.com/bend/crim...t?oid=18050971

Fortunately for her, it's only a misdemeanor charge of "criminal mischief"--she's being charged for her (alleged) actions in deleting BTFC files and trying to lock BTFC staff out of their accounts. Maximum penalty if she's convicted is a fine, not prison. She has not (so far at least) been charged with more serious crimes such as embezzlement or theft of trade secrets.

Still--if she's convicted of this--OYSA would be will within their rights to ban her from working in Oregon youth soccer again.

She used to be a college coach for the Ducks (using her married name Tara Erickson), and served 8+ seasons in Eugene. Now she's close to having a criminal record, and run out of the state soccer community. Apex FC can and should be able to continue operations if they want--no club should get a monopoly on any community--but if the allegations are true, Bilanski and her co-conspirators should be permitted nothing to do with it.

Apex would just move to US Club. If they did at least a Bend club would be competitive in a league for a change. Right now Bend is a inconvenience in OYSA

No way, $1,000 fine for all that. Seems like a lot of trouble for grand. However, doesn't this make the civil case easier?

Holly expensive soccer balls. Looked up Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree, 164.345, This says she acted with intent. Look out this is going to get spicy !

It's a misdemeanor. No jail, no loss of civil rights, just a fine.

But she does now have a criminal record, which is probably enough for OYSA to ban her.

This is only part one, remember there is a civil suit against her for damages. Must easier to prove guilt in civil court. With the criminal piece not in her favor she is going to loose big time and owe papa Bend Timbers lot of $$$$$$$

Noticed a post on the spinoff club Instagram of her and another accused party (along with 2 players) cooking food at a local homeless shelter and saying that the club was "giving back" to the community.

Noticed later in a news article that they were possibly doing community service as part of their charge. (Shady if so.)

"Attorneys and the DA’s office say the violations are akin to a traffic ticket. All three have been fined $1,000 and the DA’s office says they have served community service."

It has to be still a thing because if you keep replying to your own posts it keeps the thread alive for almost a year and a half, and if you read it on Talking Soccer it must be true.
