SW WA Poll: Are you satisfied with your club?

Now that summer tournament season is finishing and teams have more or less come together for league play, it would be interesting to see how parents view their DK's team. Are they ready for their bracket? Are they getting good training? Is there a lot of drama? Are you looking to switch clubs already? Are they having fun?!!!

I would like to hear from the SW WA clubs especially because there are bloody few choices for us if we are unhappy. If we answer seriously to this post, we might be able to give other ideas.

Don't give us your exact team but tell us
    1. club (and either age or gender )
    2. which OPL or RCL bracket the team plays in (OR just say premier or Select level)
    3. Is the team looking as good as you thought they should by now? Problems?
    4. What one or two things do you like about your team and club?
    5. What one or two things do you want changed?

I hope we can get some serious answers here and not just clubs flaming other clubs.

No not ready for their bracket
    No not getting good training
    Lots of drama
    Looking to switch clubs
    Not having fun
Have to pull the DKs to soccer practice and games every time

However, not having the little bastards around for 1.5 hours twice a week is worth every penny of the club fees.

I don't know what is more retarded. You being the one making this thread or the person that will reply to this thread.

Here is a new poll about you:

        1. What club are your from so we can avoid it.

        2. What team you are on so we know where the nightmares are?

        3. Is your life looking as good as you thought it should by now? Clearly we know there are problems.

        4. What two things would other parents on your team change about you?

Just respond to your own thread because noone in their right mind thinks you should be taken seriously.

            1. Yours

            2. You know which

            3. What a stupid question, but in your standards no your DD and their team will ever be good enough.

            4. Kids and older teams.

            5. You and your kid need to go.

Sorry, I am new to this forum. I was looking for a way to get information about other Vancouver clubs to see if people were happy with them like Yelp, but for soccer. Maybe my post was not the best set of questions to ask or not very smart.

But your response just reveals the person you are: not funny, not helpful, and plain old mean.

Ignore people like that as there are so many on this board. It is a blog and you are entitled to pose a question. There was nothing in your question that was offensive. Why a poster would have such a huge problem with your questions is beyond me. Clearly you hit some sort of nerve because it would appear they posted several times. Good luck in finding the information you seek and we are not all mean!!!

I am not sure how the boy's side do in Vancouver. If your daughter wants to find the most competitive club then I would go with the Vancouver Timbers. You will get the opportunity to play and compete against some of the best teams around. You need to be committed though because there is going to be some traveling involved. The other clubs in SW WA are a tier or two below the Timbers, but it may not matter if being at the most competitive club is not a priority. If you are U13G, stay away from Valencia. They are a Vancouver Timbers want to be team and their is a lot of drama with this set of parents. The drama follows them whether they are FC Nemesis 99 or Valencia.

I would also avoid Salmon Creek for any age above U14. Three of their teams went low division for mt.hood Challenge, lost both brackets game so got moved to the lowest bracket and went 0-4 for the tournament. 3 out of 4 of their teams finished with no wins in the lowest bracket possible. We used to have a decent team last year, but all of our best players left and we are struggling. Not sure if we will have a team next year. Very frustrating.
