What team went undefeated and didn't give up a goal and then didn't get moved up to Premier? My understanding is that below Division 1 it is up to your club and DOC to place teams at the team placement meeting. If this didn't happen then it was your club and or DOC at fault and not the OPL. If you were in Division 1 then you would have moved to Premier automatically. I think you are getting bad information from your club as they likely dropped the ball on this one.

First, I don't feel inclined to give you the team and club. But it's true. Second, that is ridiculous if they leave it up to the DOC and club to barter with the OPL at some placement meeting. Make the rule consistent for every division just like the RCL. If you go undefeated in your division (1st in your division), you are moving up, not for discussion. If you don't make it consistent, once again, you leave yourself open to criticism, questions, and pointing fingers.

In my kids case it was NOT the DOC's fault. He has done everything he can but the OPC said no and chose a team that only had 4 wins last fall in Premier to stay. We saw the emails and know it's not smoke. OPC playing favorites and kids paying the price. I have heard there were other teams that got passed over as well so it's not just this team, our club either.

So, what club and team then? I seriously doubt that at the seeding meeting, which has members invited from outside the "OPL 8", decided to go with a team with only four wins over your team that was undefeated.

No it isn't just common sense, why not give the coaches and clubs an opportunity to move their team based on tryouts, summer tournaments etc. Especially below the Division 1 level

Oh yes, it makes perfect sense to place teams below Div 1 based on tryouts, tourneys and coaches input but somehow that doesn't apply to Div 1 and Premier. This just doesn't make sense. When you leave it up to coaches to barter and politic for their team you are going to end up with a system that is not fair. You are going to leave yourself vulnerable to criticism and speculation that shady stuff is going on. It's not good for the team that finished undefeated and creamed everyone, and it's not good for the teams that took a tremendous beating. And who cares if it's Division 2 or Division 1.

Me too, I have attended an OYSA seeding meeting in the past and the coaches did a pretty good job of placing their teams. I can't imagine it is much different, same group of coaches now running the OPL that were there at the OYSA seeding meetings.

Not sure it will copy over but looks like U13B Azul. All the below Div 1 teams finished top 2 and should be moved up.

Why would anyone flame on the team for being undefeated and supposedly getting a raw deal from OPL even though your coach, club etc wanted to move up. Doesn't sound very plausible now does it? Keep it to yourself because you know that you are wrong, it would have been sorted out had your club or DOC advocated for your team registered them correctly the following year.

of all the Div 1 teams looks like Sherwood Galaxy has the least goals against..
