Then John must have cut the player who said he didn't agree with John as best coach.

THUSC Boys DOC is by far, head and shoulders above anything I have seen. JC has everything it takes to be a coach. He has completely turned the boys side around at THUSC.

He's doing a great job so far. In one year he has doubled the amount of boys at THUSC.

No other coach/program has better success with girls over the years. They may have some years up and down, but certainly some rich tradition. NWCL Champions - Ireland, Sodium, and Onyx (Zirconium finalist)

If my memory serves me right, he ran the FC PDX Jr. Academy before he went to THUSC.

How many years are you including? Not too many. The oldest group you're referring to is U18 now. THUSC doesn't come close to matching FC in terms of quality over the years. Not to mention, the DOC you're mentioning is one of the most divisive characters in Oregon soccer.

This coach is the real deal. FC paid the price big time when he left. He understands development of players coaches and is a great communicator with parents. It's refreshing when you have a DOC who really cares about the players and less about his ego. THUSC are going to be a force in the next few years. We are in the Red star academy and it's an absolute joy watching the staff at THUSC run the practice sessions. My son loves it!! THUSC have a customer for life. The only problem is my patience. I want my son to play up but the DOC will not allow it. I want to make that call but was told no and to "sit back and enjoy".
I guess I am learning too.

On the girls side, FC PDX has had little quality since the 4 years ago Sapphire team. FC doesn't even have a DOC. Why? Clarena receives a large salary for no actual work. No money available to pay a DOC. My DD played there her last 5 years, and I have a pretty good idea how far FC PDX has fallen since Clive died.

Uh ok before speaking from no facts take a look at last year's league results, last year's state cup results and also take some time to look at the FC players and where they are playing in college. Nobody can replace Clive but the record (and anyone without an agenda) says that FC is still a top program in Oregon.

Even post Clive there's no comparison between FC and THUSC. There just isn't. The cult like devotion to TA is inexplicable.
