My DD has been to this camp the last two years. Great camp! It is more of a day camp that incorporates soccer skills.
The Skyview team does a great job with the girls.

Sure hope the Boys Varsity Head coach Jennifer Johnson has NOTHING to do with this camp. She's a clown with no understanding of the game. If she runs a camp day like a HS training session...God help all the attendees. You will be dumber having attended. We'll see how she does next year with the loss of most of the talent at SV.

I take it your son didn't make the state champion team this year? Voted coach of the year by her peers across the state and she's a "clown"???

Don't have a son...I do have a daughter and yes "clown". I said it...believe me..It's pretty well known in Vancouver at least. Coaches outside of Vancouver don't get the benefit of seeing her in action often enough.

I don't know the coach in question and offer no opinion of her. In the past, in Oregon, state coaches of the year have been good and some horrible. Other coaches don't know what attributes the coach has that they may see maybe once a season at a game. Some coaches end up with all club players and simply need to get out of the way. Others have few club players and must work really hard to place at all in their conference. It's like players of the year, some go on and do great things, some fail practically immediately in college. Coach of the year is usually meaningless.

Coach of the year automatically goes to the coach of the state champion.

Please don't make this an attack thread. This is a fund raiser for the girls team. The SHS boys coach is not involved with this camp.

This soccer camp has been well done. High school girls' coaches are active and involved and the high school girls make it very fun and engaging for the younger players. Good summer camp!

I take it your son didn't make the state champion team either. If he would have you wouldn't of stood up to defend her because the boys on that team wouldn't.

Its blatantly obvious when the boys run their own training sessions and do their own line ups or changes mid game.

She is a glorified chaperone except a Chaperone.

Please ask any coach or even those players how much she is a joke.

This post is not about the boys team. Separate program and coach and great opportunity for girls in Vancouver!

Great opportunity? What? Simply a money maker like all camps are. It's high school soccer for god sakes. The coach is mediocre and the soccer or quality is below mediocre. Stay training with your club team.

                              THANK YOU

at least someone is willing to say that. The AD is a moron and that coach can continue to win based on the work of the club coaches.

"if i don't say anything, I can screw it up"
