Seattle Copa beat Lake Oswego 4-1. Tough opponent for them, they should do better against the other two opponents in their bracket.

Tyncastle is a division 2 PSPL team. Kind of like a division 2 Portland Metro League team. Joke that they are even in this considering everyone else's schedule.
Easy points to take advantage of.

With FC Navy's 1-1 tie of Vancouver at Regionals today, I think it's safe to conclude that the V. Timbers would be well matched in OPL Premier next Fall. I hope they join, the competition will make all of the other OPL teams better.

Then pressure the DOC's that are in charge of the OPL to let Vancouver into premier. Hard to leave RCL div. 1 for OPL div. 1.

Ouch is right, I am a little surprised by that. Are they missing players? They lost 3-1 yesterday as well, something must be going on for them to lose a game by such a large margin.

Oregon U-12/13 girls in the top division now have 3 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties. Good showing so far. Keep it up girls!

my DD and I caught last 10 minutes of first half and entire second half...

fun game to watch...V-Timbers controlled the game....picked apart FC PDX's midfield...V-Timbers play the best soccer I've seen at this age....unfortunately for them it doesn't end up in results...FC PDX did alot of chasing during this game

We all know Vancouver is a good team. But please just admit you are a proud parent of a U13 VTimbers girl. I would respect you for that. You really don't think we are that gullible do you :) Best of luck the rest of the tourney.

Fc Portland parent here. They literally had the ball most of the game. 80/20 first half 70/30 2nd half. Damn impressive. They couldn't capitalize on their shots on goal which was their down fall. We got a lucky shot from a ways out 3 min left. Lucky to get out with a tie.

Conditions were less than favorable with grass and wet. Make no mistake they handled us besides the score TODAY.

Would like to see them again soon. Parents were nice. Little loud moms but talked to a few.

Call it for what it is. My dd s coach even admitted it was one sided.

Sounds like ITALY today. A sign of a resilient team is one that can fail in one aspect of the game and still pull it out in the end. Good job by both teams.

My daughter's team (Crossfire) had a game after the FC Portland/Vancouver Timbers game, so we got to watch the last two thirds of it.

I was amazed at how well Vancouver organized their offensive attacks. Most kids this age just kick the ball, connect passes on occasion, and hope a lucky bounce gives them an open shot. But not these girls, they actually look like they know what they're doing. And I've heard that some people were claiming that their success is based on the skills and speed of one player. Wrong! She is great, but they are way more than that. FC Portland was lucky to score at the end. 9 out of 10 times VUSA wins that game.
