Eugene played well against the VTimbers.
In all honestly the VTimbers played horribly. VTimbers were lucky to tie the game up in the second half. Eugene was the better team today for sure.

RUSH wash a deeper and faster team. Eugene had LOTS of shots on goal couldn't capitalize. Rush took advantage of their opportunities and scored on 2 break aways. Good game evenly played, better team that day won

You are not a Eugene parent. I am. You clearly must not of seen the game. Should of been us first half by 2 or 3. 2nd half we didn't leave the half. They put it on the 2nd half. Even game overall. Stop posting like you were there. We took it to them first half but be honest about the 2nd if you are going to compliment us.

Rush was beatable, could have won if finishe more shots on goals

Vparent here. Eugene beats rush 2nd time around. Contain their big striker like Seattle united, Xfire, rush, timbers, will be better prepared knowing she is coming. They have the athleticism muchlike RCL teams to fight with them and I feel Eugene will take care of them next time around.

Yes, Rush is beatable. They lost twice last week in the Rainier Challenge to Washington Premier FC, who also beat Crossfire B 4-0. Interesting that this tournament did not include the Washington state champion (Crossfire A), or the runner up (Northwest Nationals), but it is still two Washington teams in the finals. But the Oregon teams would have done better if they had only finished more shots on goal. LOL.

Excuse me, I got the Washington champion and runner-up mixed up. NWN was the champion and Crossfire A the runner up.

Why do VUSA parents pretend to be so many different people? No one on here believes it. Crossfire, EMFC, next they'll be Hope Solo. Just say that you think your DD team is the best and stop pretending like everyone else believes that.

FCSC already beat them to that. They are posting a complete run down of her activities, what she and Tina had for lunch.

I was there. VTimbers did play a better second half but stilll ugly. Our goal to tie the game was ugly and lucky. Hats off to Eugene on a tough game. We were pressing hard the last 5-10 minutes for the win which would have put us into the semis but Eugene would have none of it. Look forward to our next match!

I was there too. VTimbers are very, very good team. They are better than Washington Rush and should be considered a top four team in Washington. I think Vancouver will have the advantage over Eugene on turf but Athletica might have the edge on grass fields. I truly hope they can get into OPL Premier where our future matches will make both teams better.

Can anyone speak to how FC PDX did in Seattle or THUSC did in California? Those are the two other local teams that played this last weekend. As of today based on results from recent events - united cup, us club regionals, usys regionals in AZ

EMFC/VUSA/THUSC/FC - Not enough to seperate them - seem to be the top 4 though.

Wow, you VUSA parents are something. Rush advanced and VUSA didn't. Looks like Rush was the better team that weekend.

I keep hearing about how VUSA passes the ball and moves it around so well. Plenty of teams do that and plenty have done it better than VUSA for that age group. VUSA is a good team but so are the top WA teams and the top OPL teams.

That was posted by me, an Athletica parent. Jen---Haley---Stacci. Those are the last three Athletica assistants, only an Athletica parent would know that.

We had numerous opportunities against Rush, we had a much tougher time getting those opportunities against Vancouver. We knew that Rush was ranked top five in Washington and expected a match tougher than the on we had against VTimbers, but it wasn't the case. Hats off to Timbers, you have our respect and I think we earned your respect on Monday. We look forward to a lively rivalry.
