Of course you would, so would I if my DD was a regular team member....DUH !!! But the truth of the matter is that your guests were much more visible.

Strange how that can work both ways.

It's time to move on from the 11-14 years and move on to competitive soccer that will be fun to watch and fun for the girls to compete in. Crossing my fingers this will/can happen for the 15s and beyond.
A good first step is happening with Rage and the Usonians coming together to play in the Far West Regionals league. Anyone is who is a top player in U15 should take a hard look at coming and trying out. The goal is to create a top team that can compete outside of the state with the emphasis on college exposure. Chris Thurrley will coach the team. There are open practices this week. Practices will be at Tualatin High School.

It's going to be hard for them to come together when the Usonians are tryout out everywhere else. They've made it clear they want nothing to do with Rage. Players have been at FC, SSC (OSSA), and THUSC recently.

What consolidation? Usonians do not seem to be buying in.

Here goes the WST marketing campaign for tryouts! Do they pay the parents to come on here right before tryouts and make things up in hopes of having a big tryout?

Why is it that the Usonians were guest playing for every team in the LO Cup but Rage? You would think if they were coming together this tournament would of made a good starting point. Unfortunately the above post is all lies.

Top players from other teams will never come because parents are 1) too stupid to realize the potential, 2) parents have drank too much kool-aid & think TA is God and that playing for U of P coach will get them that dream scholarship, and 3) although players want to play with other top players it will not happen due to reasons 1 & 2!

What will help some of the consolidation is that no top player wants to play for WST as they do nothing for the girls in terms of college exposure or college placement. That will get rid of the Usonian team and consolidate them with THUSC, FC, and OSSA. Thanks WST!

actually the team manager and hubby are the worst. they helped kick out the original coach and wanted Kony to step in...we all know how that went. Now everyone wants to leave because of Kony.

Don't worry Hirsch, you can stay over at SS.

People seem to be really afraid of something good. That's fine. Stay where you are and complain about consolidation. The Rage and Usonian team, however it comes together and with whatever team members, is going to play FWR. If that is appealing, then people should tryout. If not, then stay where you are. I'm not sure where putting down WST, .... really gets you on this board. All it is, is an option. Just like ECNL would have been an option had Oregon received an invitation. No one would have been forced to tryout for it.

I see the cuts at the WST, but I have to tell you I am not seeing the consolidation you are talking about. I agree with the previous poster, why didn't Rage take some guest players this weekend from Rage? FWRL, will be great and a consideration, but it looks to me like you may end up the third/fourth team in Oregon due to players NOT coming your way? I am not sure people are afraid of a good thing as much as they are thinking you won't have anything better.
