Strumming through last season I noticed we do not hear much about now GU16 what happened? Looks like there were teams that went from being the biggest talkers on here to near silence. OSSA doesn't show a loss in any games this year NWCL, OPL, OPL Cup. Are they taking the top spot at that age bracket? Hard to disprove from records I saw. Only thing that I can't see is NWCL Finals.

Actually not true, unless you are referring to the part about him being a pompous ***hole. That part is true.

THUSC Onyx has been pretty dominate the last few years. Be interesting to see how long it can continue.

Looking at their records and successes over the last 3 years, I think they very well could be the most dominate team in any age group boys or girls, but they are only U14's this year. It will be interesting to see how they are in a few years.

They are the most dominant team in Oregon and have been for years. It's not even close. I don't remember the last time they lost to an Oregon team in their age group. They've played up an age group and gone undefeated. They've done very well in big tournaments (Surf, Dallas) and were a region iv runner up a couple of years ago, and a US Club finalist last year.

It shows what can happen when you consolidate a lot of top players into one team. The same can happen at other age groups, but getting them consolidated is difficult.

Winning while very nice isn't everything. I think it is great when a team meshes and it all comes together. ON the other hand, I don't think winning all the time in and of itself is the main consideration that I would have for my DDs team choice. There are many qualitative factors that must also be considered and at the end of the day a great player will get great offers no matter where they play.

I would agree that Onyx has done well, but keep in perspective they are only 12 and 13. I know for a fact that Sherwood added a new coach and some great talent and should not be overlooked

Aren't they only 12 and 13 as well? All the team added some great talent. For now Onyx is still the team to beat. We'll be gunning for them this year!

As they get older, that team may remain at the top, but not necessarily with the same players. Dominant 12 year olds aren't necessarily dominant 16 year olds. The tough thing for Onyx is that some of those girls will end up getting cut in the coming years as better players tryout. It's the same old story, if you are player 14+, you better be worried. It will be a bitter pill for some of the parents if their DD gets told "sorry, but I am going with someone new". For a parent of a sub who is used to being on this dominant team, it may be a difficult reality to face.

Especially if you've been there for 4-5 years and a founding member of the team.

Exactly. It will not be an easy call to take.

Wasn't he the guy that failed to even keep the train on the tracks with the U-15 WSM Girls?

                                This guy isn't the answer.
