Again just an opinion Boys OPL 4 - OYSA 4. Girls OPL 5 - OYSA 2, (didn't count girls u 14)

Pretty dominant for OPL on Girls side, Tied on Boys side.

Not that it matters because this is all nonsense, but your GU17 teams did play each other and FCP won. While I suppose they could have played twice that doesn't normally occur in a state cup.

Pretty dominant for OPL on Girls side, Tied on Boys side.

On the other hand, it very easily can be OYSA 3 - OPL 3 on the girls side without counting U14, with the 3 highest age groups being OYSA. (U11 is left out since OYSA didn't even have a tourney at that age and because, well ..., it's U11.) My opinion, but I don't see it as dominant on either side. I do appreciate that FC won at U17G in the OPL, but if there was this fictitious OYSA/OPL tourney, I'm placing my bet on THUSC.

If you are going to actually debate this lets keep it to facts. The last two years is probably the most relevant.

GU 16- Ireland and Navy played 2 times is league and they tied both. They played once in NWCL and tied. They played in the OPL finals and Ireland won 5-0.

GU 17- Ireland and Navy played in OPL and Ireland won. They played in OPL semi-finals and Navy won.

For the last two years the record is

Ireland- 2 wins
Navy- 1 win
Ties- 3

That seems pretty even to me. BUT... if they played a OPL/OYSA championship I would pick...

Both teams have good kids, but let's not confuse a regular season game vs. a sem-final State Cup match. The stats are great but fortunately don't prove much.
