You are crazy...Onyx has not "spanked"any of the U15 teams.. IN fact they tied FC White last weekend. Please let us know when this match up happens

Onyx lost 2-1 last year to the Usonians in the United Cup. The FC white game was the first game playing only 3 defenders for Onyx. The goals came late after the regular defenders were pulled. I think Onyx can beat Usonians also. Kind of strange Onyx can't get U15's to play any scrimmages.

But it is the idiotic statements, proclamations, and coach that will make that target even bigger. I don't know when it will happen, but when that day comes that you lose.....be prepared. How about having some humility and let your girls win with class. With this, I am saying that your players can and do win with class, let them continue with that. But SOME of the parents and coach seem determined to make it about themselves and not the girls who actually play the game.

Onyx parent here and I agree with you (except about the coach making it about himself. He has been incredible for this team). The time will come when they lose a game and it could definitely happen this year. Teams will begin to catch up and games will get closer and closer. I think all the parents and players know this and that is why the girls continue to work hard. No one will take a loss as a shocking thing, instead it would be a motivator. The other teams (Sherwood, FC, and ESUFC) will all be good this year and we look forward to an exciting season.

The only thing this coach does for this team is try and make them better, his benchmark is competing against CA teams. This team gains nothing by playing teams in their age in OR, with the exception of Sherwood, ESUFC, and occasionally FC Portland. Who should this team play in OR to get better?

Personally, as a parent who LOVES watching my daughter play soccer, I look forward to our games against Onyx. The girls on that team are extremely talented and I can't remember a game where their players used foul language, Unnecessary roughness or had to play dirty to win. The parents are respectful to our parents and players and deserve the right to cheer their players on for all goals made or beautiful plays no matter what the score is. Unless the entire team decides to move to California, I don't know who else you expect them to play in the state of Oregon. They are playing the top 7 teams in the highest division of soccer.
I'm looking forward to fall and any opportunity to play Onyx. I love being the underdog and see our girls improve from year to year and game to game. Who knows, Onyx may stay one step ahead of everyone until club soccer ends for them but i sure like the idea of a win for us and a loss for them. Either way, it will be a decent soccer game with no bad attitudes or crazy parents on the sidelines.

I'm sorry but was Modesto supposed to be a better tournament for Onyx? 9-0 and 3-0 wins..? Don't get me wrong, it was kind of cool to see a loss for them in the mix and I am actually a fan of the talent on that team, just seems like Seattle may have had more competition......

Long way to travel for one good game. That 9-0 was to a younger team.

All teams that Onyx played were 98/99's (same age as us). I am glad that we played in a tourney that had the #1,3,4 and 5 teams from CA. Onyx against DeAnza was the beat U13 soccer game that I watched. I can assure you that we would not have experienced that competition in Seattle.
