Our girls played Onyx on Saturday and the parents were fine. There was some yelling at the ref but it came from both sides as he was horrible and very inconsistent. Nothing out of the ordinary from the parents and they complimented our keeper several times. We had some very nice conversations after the game with some of their parents and thanked them for coming. They in return thanked us for a good game.

Thank you RUSH parent. We always enjoy the trip to Central OR, even if it is a little smoky this time of year. RUSH has a very solid parent group and they are always very respectful. Same with the RUSH girls. Classy all the way around. I am an ONYX parent and I want to again thank you. I also wanted to address the person who was speaking negatively about the Eastside parents. I think the Eastside team has really improved and grown up over the last 2 years. Same with the parents. Eastside is the team that ONYX seems to struggle with the most. Not a single goal comes easy against them and they make you work. As for the parents, they are generally pretty quiet on the sidelines and keep it pretty positive. Nice group of people in my opinion. As for our parents, I agree that we can yell at the ref too much. I wish our parents would stop that. There really is no need for it. It also seems a little silly to be yelling at a ref when the girls are up by a considerable margin and in control of the game.

Sorry if I offended you. I was just thanking the RUSH parent for the kind words and returning the sentiment. I was also defending the Eastside parents, as that has not been our experience and I thought whomever was saying negative stuff about them was doing so unjustly. I even went on to say our own parents can get mouthy towards the refs. If my post wasn't civil, I am not sure what else I could have said to please you. Well anyways, signing off. Westside Copa T/S played Eastside this past weekend, and I heard NOTHING from the parents. All parents on both sides behaved in a decent manner. Both teams played well, and I would have to agree that WT Copa also has a tough time with Eastside...they really do make you work. All in all, it was a respectable game.

Where was Pride playing when Stealth was in the Mt. Hood Challenge? Stealth had asked an FC player and an Onyx player to guest play while some Pride players were guesting with LO because Stealth never asked them to play. I like how your trying to down play the drama but everyone is aware of the tension between the Pride and Stealth coach and especially those in Southside.

How often have Stealth players been asked to play up with Pride? Ever?? If not, then your argument (whining) is pretty much a moot point. Obviously, this should be going both ways, as Stealth has had both Pride and Villa players invited to play with them, and from all reports, it has been a great experience for all involved. I'm not sure that Stealth was playing the weekend that Pride went to CA, but the rest of the summer was busy. Just wondering.

Pretty sure it is just you, and you are certainly doing more than your part to stir things up! How about you stop being a jerk, and maybe your kid will be asked to guest play also?? Nobody likes the pain in the neck parent around. Just a thought.

I don't know who, if anyone, is 'speaking freely', about playing premier, but I know that many have asked or been asked why Stealth is not in Premier instead of Pride, and of course the answer is that Pride earned it in the Fall, and Stealth did not. Both had roster changes at tryouts that brought in 5-7 new players to each group, so the dynamics of both teams changed quite a bit. As far as feuding, there isn't time or need for that - we are all just playing the season, and making the most of where we are placed. Players from Pride and Villa (as well as other clubs when those players were not available) have played with Stealth and have done great - it has been fun for everyone and appreciated . There was not a tournament that Pride did over the summer that Stealth was not either playing in the same one, or were playing in another elsewhere, so unfortunately, there was no opportunity for movement there, should they have been asked. No need to create drama where there isn't any.
