Anybody going (went) to any of the supplemental tryouts?


Looks like THUSC already had theirs on the 12th
Southside is tonight Gu12 @ Cook Park 5-6:30pm
LO had theirs on Saturday
Westside Timbers tonight Gu11-14 and bu11-u14
PCU is doing it per individual/ contact the coach

Looks like these are the only clubs doing supplemental tryouts

It would be interesting to see and hear what the coaches have to say about their programs now that the main tryouts are done.

Shocking that WSM needs to have supplimental tryouts for the girls teams! ;) Normally a club will hold an additional tryout for 1-2 age groups only (like SSC tonight) but to have to hold one for U11-U14G is very sad. Notice they only need one age group for boys (U11)

Westside is trying to build their girl program up. It's no secret that FC and THUSC has had the dominate girls programs as of late.

Westside has thrown some great effort and coaches at it, and I appreciate their effort(and I don't have girl playing or DD that you guys call them). All it can mean is better competition for the league which everyone should be up for.

Give 'em a break.

Great coaches? You have very low standards. They put one coaches name on 5 teams and then after tryouts switch the coaches. One will do nothing but make the little girls cry and one has been proven to not develop players. Just like as stated earlier on this forum, Timbers Alliance will be great for the boys but do nothing for the girls. The lack of girls showing up for tryouts is proof of that.

My daughters' team at Pacific 00 folded and we ended up moving with our original group over to Vancouver Timbers....it was nice and accomodating...unfortunately our best player was only good enough for the Select "A" team...the rest of us ended up on the 4th and 5th team....

Pretty sure

My dd plays at FC and it would appear that they leave spots open on rosters for 'walk on's', transfers, whatever you call them. If your dd or ds, didn't make a squad or was thinking of trying out for a bigger club or just plain not happy. Call a coach..... They will take a look at you. I'm sure any and all clubs will. No reason for kids not to be happy with their choices.

I will agree, Coach hand has a full schedule but he does soccer and training for a living.

I know him and think he's a great coach and person. I have not heard of any kid that doesn't love working with him.

Lets just see how he does with it.

You are so obviously not a Pacific parent, but a Timbers one. I don't even know the gossip with teams up North, but no one would talk about their current or former teammates like that.

Regardless, I think this person's information is pretty accurate. The supplemental tryout at Timbers last Thursday was primarily for the select level teams. The premier team's rosters were completed the weekend before.

Also, think I heard a U12 team had issues at try-outs and disbanded at the last minute.
So, it does sound correct. It was the B or C team select, so not sure what they were expecting to make at Timbers.
