I was just pointing out that there is good competition in the OPL too.

You need to deflate your chest.....BOCA is not the end all club.....Just about any of these clubs could win on a given day.

RUSH spanked you guys the last couple times you played them and now that you finally pulled out a win, you're the best ever? WRONG.

Come back and brag on here after the regionals. Only a few of either State Cup teams will do anything and the BOCA's aren't one.

Wow, that's quite the reversal. I don't know that I have ever heard anyone from OPL "point out that there is good competition in the OPL too". My reaction was more from the statement (perhaps not yours) that "CFC is a garbage club". You are right just about any of these clubs can win, and in fact that is what makes league so rewarding. The best result in league
play is to get good back and forth going on. You are right Boca is just a team, however they are a very good team. Just as you deserve recognition as a good team. So do they.

Rush beat us 2-0 in winter league play. The second schedule game was cancelled because OPL scheduled us to play in Bend on the same day we had Far West Regional League games in Portland.

In state cup group play they beat us 2-0 in agamethat really didn't matter because we had both qualified for the final.

We then beat them for the third time in five years in a state cup final (Eastside, and south side were in there as well, but I don't remember Westside). Winning a fifth championship.

So while you may not think much of us, we have the results. Wegointoevery game respecting our opponents, it is something called sportsmanship. You ought to give it a try.

I would love nothing more. There was a true specialness to league play three or four years ago when with Eastside, Southside, Boca, and Rush all finishing the season within points of each other. (if my memory is correct first place finished with 19 points, and fourth with 16. I apologize, my intent was not disrespect, I was trying to separate two very different posts to respond to. Winter league this year was great, playing some teams we hadn't seen for a couple years. We truly hoped everyone was going to play in the OYSA state cup.

Hopefully you have a great summer as a team, time to get back to training so we can stand strong at regionals.

Boca's style of play is one of the best in the state. I love watching them play. Congrats on winning another tourney! That said, I would love to see these teams play again at full-strength. You should have the Boca coach give the WST coach a call and set-up a friendly. That's assuming we've garnered enough respect for a re-match ;)

Absolutely you've garnered enough respect. Perhaps this summer we will see such a game. Boca's schedule is pretty full right now, but it would never hurt for the Westside coach to make a call. They played friendlies last summer against Eastside, so it could happen. It may have to wait until August though if we have to go to South Carolina.
