Probably because you are giving them too much credit.

And the fees are about a 1/10 of the price. They have some very competitive teams and the coaches are all 100% volunteers.

So you should take your kids to Woodburn and quit the bitching.

Only person I see complaining is you. I'll take a guess you have a son on the WST U13 team that lost to WAFC and CFC. Give credit where credit is due. CFC and WAFC both have very good teams and either one will do an excellent job representing Oregon at Regionals. It is shocking that a little club like WAFC with all volunteer coaching who get no formal training can beat WST. Congrats to them!

I am not surprised that BU13 WST had a hard time against CFC and WAFC. Those are both excellent teams and WST hasn't been playing up to their talent level all spring. CFC has always been the strongest team in this age group (and perhaps still are), but the gap between them and the other top five or six teams is very narrow. In any given day, when the teams are playing at full strength, CFC, WAFC, FCP, WST, ESU, and NEU can all beat one another. Add a combined VUSA/WSA team to the mix and you have very deep and balanced competion. I would love to see all of these teams playing together in one league next fall!

Actually, I do not have a player on WST U13 team and you are a dick head.

                  Yes, definitely a WST parent.

                    FC adds another title

FC porltand G 93 Navy added the NWCL title over the weekend. A re match of the state cup game vs Eugene, 3-1 this time. Both teams very thin on reserves.

And other G18 teams decided not to bother.

But were bothered enough to make sure that people on here know that.

                          Bothered?

Certainly one of the life lessons soccer should teach is that you finish what you start so yes they did, the "why bother poster" must have been from the team that threw in the towel for the semi's.

Sorry I didn't mean it in a negative way or to take away from FC's accomplishments. They have had a good year. Just was unfortunate that the other teams "threw in the towel" as you say. Not enough players from either team were available It would have been nice to have them all play each other one last time.
