For a club that supposedly doesn't stress winning, FC made a pretty good showing.

It would appear they are consistent. but there is some good fortune there as well. Congrats to all the teams, it was a great year!

        State Cup Finals

Congratulations to all teams who played yesterday and a big thumbs up to the teams that won. I watched the Boys U15 match between WSM and FC Portland. Both teams played hard. It was a bit physical, particularly towards the end of the game, but both teams fought hard. WSM had the goals early, FC Portland had that goals late. Both teams deserve to hold their heads highl

Yesterday's state cup games were fun to watch. I got to see half of two games and all of one game.
Perhaps a scheduling accommodation can be made for the future. There is not enough parking for such a large event and baseball games too. We all know soccer rules, so they need to move the baseball games.

              Hey Eggy

Were you watchin the girls U17 game? I was wanting to watch it, but just had too much else going on. I was curious who would pull that one out since OSSA had beaten FC Portland previously in the Quarter Finals match. I've been out of that age group now for a couple of years so I don't know if all of the same girls play for those clubs still or not. I was kind of sorry not to see Ireland in the finals this year. They were my second favorite team (behind WSM of course).

Yep, I was at the U17. My DD has been with the FC team for a couple of years.

Fun, but I will be pushing my kids' teams to do what a couple teams did this year - both OPL and OYSA. If the egos of the two orgs can't get their acts together, so be it. Besides, USYS Regionals are back to Hawaii next year!
