They only picked up 2 from other clubs. One keeper and one field player.
And yes WST and THUSC had the same amount of champions on the girls side but THUSC had the chance for 3 and had teams in the semis at U12, U13, U14, U16, and U17. Any club would be proud of that. You win some and you lose some. Clubs on top seem to change every year. Well done to FC this year!

Onyx 5-0.
Wow, I need to hit a bookie because I nailed it. And despite what some of the gracious Onyx parents may have presented, having watched the game I was also correct in that the game was not even close. Congrats that Rush played hard. But also in losses, so did Gallium, Stealth, Usonians, and FC Portland all "play hard". Doesn't mean anything. Hoping that someone can compete and give Onyx some challenges. Thus far the closest any team comes is FC Portland and there is still a sizeable gap there despite the fall game that was a draw. Maybe next year.

Correction, 3 players this year were picked up. (one from out out of state, one from FC, and one from Sherwood). And 3 players the year prior (one from SSC and 2 from Salem). All 6 currently on the roster.

Truth and accuracy, both lacking on this forum.

Gallum is much better than Stealth for sure. Did Stealth play hard aginst Onyx ? Wow, horrible game to say the least. I thought it was a 9-0 route in an earlier game. Fc portland played well, WST had the only score against Onyx in the State Cup. Southside is not a real contender. FC way better than any Southside team. Onyx parents were cool,,,, bur SSC need to get a grip !

Correction, 2 were picked up the U12 year. One was from Gallium. Yes she played at FC before but had moved over to THUSC before making Onyx. 11 of the 18 have been with THUSC since U10/U11.

Not sure really why this matters. All the successful teams get new players every year. An infusion of new talent and style of play is necessary for continued success. I imagine Onyx, like most sccessful teams, will get new players after this years tryouts.
