If you are trying out for a new club, is it wise to go without having any contact with the coach at all?

If they have a pre-tryout clinic or a kick around I would suggest going to that just so you can get a feel for the team and where your child might fit in. If your team is already out of State Cup then maybe attending a practice would be a good idea. There's nothing wrong with just showing up to a tryout but it's always better to been seen before that if possible. I know if your team is still in State Cup it might be difficult since you'd have to let your coach and DOC know that you plan on attending another clubs practice and that can be an awkward situation.Originally posted by Unregistered View Post
